Innovation Camp

Where ideas become brand-defining glass solutions

The Innovation Camp serves as KEFLA’s in-house agency for design, technology, and brand development. Here, new KEFLA Classic glass bottles and fully customised glass solutions are brought to life — from the initial concept to full scale production.

What is Innovation Camp?

More than just a manufacturer.

The Innovation Camp brings together all expertise required to develop new glass bottles. Design, technology, and brand insight collaborate from the very beginning – closely integrated, practical, and always with a clear focus on feasibility.

A key focus is the continuous development of the KEFLA Classic range. New bottles are designed, tested, and prepared for series production – providing a reliable foundation for customer projects and demonstrating technical feasibility within our own portfolio.

In addition, customised glass packaging is developed from the initial idea to market-ready solution. Services range from strategic consulting to the creation of unique designs, suitable closures, high-quality decorations or premium labels, and process optimisation. A modular approach ensures solutions are precisely tailored to each project.

Thanks to this integrated approach, customers can forgo external development or design agencies without compromising on design quality or brand impact. Development happens where materials and production are fully understood – reducing interfaces, accelerating decision-making, and enabling the fast, cost-efficient production close to full scale prodcution - ready quality.

"At Innovation Camp, we make decisions that will later have to go into series production. That's why we develop glass not as an idea, but as a product – with responsibility for quality, costs and feasibility."

Frequently asked questions

Do you have questions about Innovation Camp?
We have the answers.

Yes, this is possible. You can develop individual elements—such as a closure, label, or decoration—with us, whether the glass packaging comes from KEFLA or already exists.

At the same time, many clients benefit from a holistic approach to packaging, closure, decoration, and brand. This is KEFLA’s strength: we integrate design, engineering, and brand expertise to ensure all components work together seamlessly.

Yes, you can provide your own glass design. We will first review it from a technical standpoint to ensure it can be realized as intended. If needed, we will discuss potential adjustments early on to ensure smooth production.

Yes, our services can be selected flexibly to match your specific needs. We are happy to support you throughout the entire development process, but you can also choose to use only the services that best fit your project.

For a glass-like 3D print, the typical cost is around €300, depending on size and complexity. If you place an order afterward, this amount is fully credited toward your project.

KEFLA Classics are premium bottles and jars developed in-house, with a proven track record for design, quality, and functionality. They are available flexibly and can be sourced according to your needs. Upon request, KEFLA Classics can be customized—for example, with embossing (raised lettering) or debossing (engraved lettering) to your specifications. Since the base design is already established, such modifications usually require only minor tooling adjustments, making the costs significantly lower than a fully new glass development.

The cost of our services depends on your specific requirements and the scope of the project. In an initial, free-of-charge consultation, we discuss your project in detail. From there, we define the project scope together and provide a transparent, customized offer for your review.

When it comes to design rights, it’s important to understand that, under German and European law, multiple forms of intellectual property protection exist beyond copyright. These include design protection (formerly registered designs) and, depending on the case, trademark rights such as 3D or shape marks.

As a first step, we jointly evaluate whether a design is generally eligible for protection and whether any existing rights must be considered.

In many projects, clients provide an initial idea or concept, which we then further develop technically and adapt for glass production. This process often involves both creative and technical contributions.

The allocation of rights in such cases is clarified transparently and collaboratively, ensuring a fair and clear solution for all parties. When needed, we also work with specialized patent attorneys or trademark experts.

The glass-like 3D print is created from the previously validated technical glass drawing, producing a highly realistic sample. This allows evaluation of product concepts and design variants, while also enabling early testing of technical requirements and downstream processes.
